Just wanted to say thank you...

My thank you postcards for the lovely gifts I received for my birthday and Christmas. Note the CBBC style 'photo flap'...

Alex Kidd..

A birthday card from my boyfriend, as I seem to talk about the game Alex Kidd a lot..
What impresses me most about this card is the fact that he produced it in Paintshop Pro..

Copy+Paste-ry... (oh dear)

It was my birthday last week, and what better way to celebrate than to make yourself some 'party food'! Pretty much all the ingredients were from Aldi (and why wouldn't they be?). The top ones are goats cheese and caramelised onion, and the others are stilton and caramelised apple twist (a variation of this recipe).

Piano cover_Ingrid Michaelson, Morning Lullabies

A cover of Morning Lullabies.

I love Ingrid Michaelson, and wish I could do her better justice!

Like Energetic Earthworms...

A birthday card for a friend. I don't think acronyms are used enough.

Wingardium Leviosa

Yesterday I stumbled across a photography/Photoshop trick where you can make it look like you're floating... I tried this, for no other reason than I thought it looked proper cool!! These are the first photos I tried, so they are not perfect at all.. But it's got me thinking of other creative ways I could use this technique...

SpongeBob credits theme...

A little song Jonny and I performed on New Years eve.. I had never heard the song before, but apparently it's incredible...

(the headgear was chosen to compliment the piece...)

Piano Cover_Vanessa Carlton, Home

A song that I have learnt for a while, but never got round to recording... :)

(Yes; The ticking clock is tedious, but unavoidable...)

Christmas clothing...

Whilst in the screen printing zone, I decided to produce some gifts for some special people...

My boyfriend loves the video game "Team Fortress" and is very proud of the badge he got given within the game, for playing the game since (actually before) it was released... I recreated a vector drawing of this virtual badge and printed it onto a hoody so he could wear such pride outside of the game also..

Another good friend very much enjoys the Back to the Future films, so I (crudely)(yet comically) put his surname into the logo...

Finally, a poem/song/tongue-twister created by myself and Steve Arthur to the tune of 'Man Eater' by Nelly Furtado...

Christmas Citrus...

This Christmas I decided to create my own Christmas pattern, but wanted to make it a little different from the usual. I thought about a part of my Christmas which has been there every year but doesn't get much attention- the orange! To this day I still receive a clementine/satsuma in the bottom of my stocking, and the smell of them always reminds me of the festive season :)

I drew the pattern out, transferred the image to a silkscreen and printed a multitude of items with it...

Christmas cards..

Wrapping paper..

Tea towels..

...as well as the tags, labels and cupcake boxes in the post below.
You can never have too many oranges!!
